Stephen Michael McClafferty, 36, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at home in North Arlington, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Stephen was born in Belleville, New Jersey and lived in Kearny before moving to North Arlington in 1988.

He attended 1^st Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey in Belleville, NJ.

Mr. McClafferty is survived by his parents, Patrick and Grace (nee Gildea) McClafferty; two sisters, Sharon Maleski (William) and Caroline Conklin (Jeffery). Stephen was the uncle of Sara, Hanna and Ella Maleski and Hailey, Mackenzie and Eric Conklin.
