Jeanette Urbano
April 25, 2009 ~ April 30, 2009Dear Joe and Family,
We were deeply saddened by the loss of your parents and the tragic way they were taken from you. We know that this day was to be a happy occasion with the Wedding. Know that our prayers are with you and your family.
Dear Rose Olcese,
My husband and I send our heartfelt condolences to you and your brothers and family. As you know, for years, Jeanette and I worked very closely together as nurses at Passaic General Hospital, and also as officers in our nurses union, JNESO. I loved Jeanette! She was the most thoughtful, caring friend and colleague, a truly excellent nurse, and such an amazing person! She always shared her time and energy for the benefit of all in the most pleasant beautiful way! I loved to speak with her and work with her. She devoted many hours on nurses' union business which helped to enhance nursing as a profession. I'll always remember visiting her home, with Frank and Tom helping to stamp and stuff envelopes when they were children. I'll always remember riding with her to and from various negotiation sessions and "11th hour bargaining", and it was always refreshing to hear the wonderful praises that she had for her children. What a wonderful, humanitarian family! My husband, Tom, also enjoyed a friendship with Jeanette. He was honored that she had selected one of his fine black and white photographs to give to her sister as a gift, and she attended several of his exhibits.
I remember Jeanette's trips to Ireland, from she brought me an Irish Belleek vase which I still treasure today . . . she was an incredibly thoughtful person! I also always admired Jeanette's spirit of diversity and adventure. Even while she was at the hospital, she and LInda Eustis Gola worked together at the early morning clinics. I remember when she took the trip to Morocco when Michael was working there in the Peace Corps. I believe that the first time I was to her home to work together with her on our volunteer union business, she had just moved to her beautiful huge house on High Street. In fact, it reminded me of the huge lovely home and wonderful family with Jimmy Stewart in the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life". Occasionally my husband Tom would refer to Jeanette as the classic movie actress, Jeanette McDonald, and they would laugh and discuss classic movies. There is just so much more I could say. Please let Rose Lombardo know that I send my condolences, as well, as Jeanette introduced me to her when Rose became a nurse, and she also worked at PGH. What an absolutely beautiful family you all are! I think that Jeanette and Sal did a wonderful job as parents and it must have been very gratifying to have such fine children! Through this sad time, I thank you for having reached out to me by phone , Rose. I, in turn, was able to reach out to our nurse friends and colleagues, all of whom were so shocked and saddened. Please feel free to keep in touch. Again, Tom and I send our condolences to you and your wonderful family. Love, Barbara Bivin
Please accept my heartfelt condolences and prayers on the loss of Mr. and Mrs. Urbano.
While working weekends at Passaic General in the 1990s and 2000s, I had the honor and pleasure of collaborating with Jeanette. She was always so kind and generous to me, but more importantly, she provided top notch care to her patients. She will always be in my heart.
Dear Rose and Gino,
No words can possibly express the extreme sadness I felt when I heard about your loss.
Please know that all my thoughts are with you and that I am praying for your strength to get through this.
I miss seeing you both so very much.
Julie

My sincere condolences to all of you on your most tragic loss. I remember all of you during the time I worked for Dr. Boettinger, Optometrist. May God bring comfort to your hearts.
We shared the same home when I was 6 years old and your family was always so wonderful and kind. I have great memories of your family even though it was so long ago. I always held a warm spot in my heart and will continue to. My heart breaks to hear about this tragedy. Love and prayers to all.
My Deepest and Heartfelt Condolences to the Kane and Urbano families on your tremendous loss of five family members. Last year, within 8 short months I lost 3 family members - my Beloved Mother (cancer) her sister (heart condition) and her brother (cancer). To lose 5 family members in one day is unimaginable grief. May God shower you all with comfort, strength and peace. My sincere sympathy to the newly married couple.
