Ellen Marie Hall of Boonton NJ passed away peacefully Friday night, July 14, 2017 while in the loving care of family and friends. Her final days were spent at the Father Hudson House in Elizabeth, NJ. She had battled cancer bravely for many years.

            Ellen was born on September 12, 1963, the eighth of twelve children to Robert and Mary Hall of South Orange, NJ. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows, Archbishop Walsh and Glassboro State College. She had a passion for foreign languages and spent time living abroad in Spain. Ellen had a successful career in sales working in the exotic food and tea industry. A licensed massage therapist, Ellen worked closely with Father Tim Carr of St. John's in Boonton, helping recovering addicts by massaging their hands. Ellen also volunteered her time for the Rape Crisis Center. She would counsel victims during their hospital recovery. She was proud of her Irish heritage and spent her final years researching her family’s history and genealogy.

            Ellen is predeceased by her father Robert John Hall and her nephew Dillon Beissel. She is survived by her mother Mary Sweeney Hall, her siblings, Bridget, Tommy, MaryBeth, Dorothy, Bobby, Colleen, Hughie, Bernadette, Noreen, Dennis and John. She is also survived by her 34 nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Ellen was cared for and supported by many. She shared a special friendship with her sister-in-law Sue, who’s love and devotion was constant throughout Ellen’s life. Ellen was very close with and had a second family in Kathleen Gilmore and family, Liz Wojtal and family, Anne Barry and family and the rest of her “Lunch Bunch.” Their unending love and support will never be forgotten.

Ellen will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her love of music, and the strength and courage she has shown over the years. She will be missed by all.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in her honor Tuesday July 18, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church of Denville, NJ. Cremation will be private.
