Barbara I. Hart (nee McNally), 72, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Wellington Healthcare Center, Hackensack, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Cremation was private.
Barbara was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in East Newark, NJ. She lived in Harrison for 41 years before moving to Rutherford, NJ 7years ago.
She was employed as a Dispatcher for the Hudson County Sheriffs Department for 10 years retiring in 1997. Prior, she owned and operated the Pen & Pencil and the Royal Pen & Pencil Restaurants in Newark, NJ for 15 years.
Mrs. Hart was a member of the Harrison Cancer League, B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 2326, Harrison-East Newark and the P.T.A. at O.L.C. School, Harrison. She also was a founding member of the Pop Warner Football League in Harrison.
She is survived by her sons, Darin Hart, Robert Hart and Shawn Hart and his wife Kathleen (nee Meehan); one sister Sharon Maley and her husband John; daughter-in-law Coleen Hart(nee Ryan).
Barbara also leaves behind her grandchildren; Joseph, Jr., Marissa, Darin, Samantha, Max and Bridget and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Jude and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Hart and her son Joseph M. Hart.
